Overview

Eric Shaffer has started a field just South of Des Moines next to his home in Prole, IA. The field is approximately two acres. It is covered in high grass that has had paths mowed into it. Mixed within the grass are different obstacles. There are groups of 55-gallon drums, low cinder-block walls, and engineered wood barricades. If you kneel, you will usually be able to see just over the cover. If you get on your hands and knees, or start to crawl, you will disappear.

  • Directions from Des Moines:
    1. Take I-35 South
    2. Take Exit # 68 onto the Highway 5 bypass
      (This is the exit for the airport)
    3. The exit will curve back to the left, and you will then be heading East.
    4. Take Exit # 99 (the Norwalk/Martensdale exit).
    5. Turn right(South) onto 63rd St (28 S)
    6. Continue going South on this road through Norwalk and Lakewood.
    7. Turn Left (East) onto Gear St.
    8. Continue East about two blocks to 5159 Gear St.
      The house will be on the left, where you can park.
      The field itself is situated North of the house.
